A. F. Poulin Painting Chosen for Yarmouth Festival
6th Annual Yarmouth Art Festival – October 22-25
St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church, 396 Gilman Road,Yarmouth
The 2014 show features 80 of Maine’s most talented artists, from Augusta to Brownfield to Kennebunkport, exhibiting 162 pieces, selected by a panel of jurors from among nearly 350 pieces submitted. One of the pieces chosen by the judges is an acrylic painting on slate created by registered Maine artist Anita F. Poulin. Ms. Poulin is the owner of AP Graphics and Fine Arts as well as The GreenWood Gallery located a short distance from Exit 75 in Auburn.
This year’s jurors are artist Suxanne Harden; Ann Haas, Bowdoin College art librarian; and Elizabeth Moss, owner of Elizabeth Moss Gallery in Falmouth.
The show will be open Wednesday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. An artist’ reception, including music and refreshments, will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Admission will be free for both the festival and the reception, with donations accepted.

The juried show, created in 2009 as a new venue for Maine artists, features painting, drawing, sculpture and photography.
Entry fees and sale commissions support St. Bart’s programs, including contributions and member support of local community services such as Friendship House, Yarmouth Community Food Pantry and St. Elizabeth’s Essentials Pantry in Portland.
